About Us
Paula Turk has been a nurse for 26 years. After early graduation from high school, she attended Texas Tech University in Lubbock and went on to North West Texas Hospital School of Nursing in Amarillo. She was a member of the student council and was voted Ms. North West Texas Hospital in 1977. She graduated from nursing school in 1979.
Over her 26 year career, she worked in large metropolitan hospitals gaining skills in a variety of specialties. These included the medical and surgical care of adults and pediatric patients as well as high risk obstetric and psychiatric patients. In each of her positions she has always been a nursing leader and excelled to positions in nursing administration during the 1990’s. During these years, she was also completing post-graduate studies at California State University.
In 1996 she joined the ranks of nurse entrepreneur and has cared for women through her own businesses since that time. In the fall of 2000, she was nominated as one of North County Times Women of Merit for her work in the community. She is currently a volunteer in the Fresh Start Surgical Gifts Organization. She donates her time to provide post operative care for children having plastic surgery for physical deformities.
Paula is not only experienced and knowledgeable in nursing, but is a very warm, engaging and compassionate person. Her patients have described her as calm, down to earth and a natural caregiver. She not only provides physical care, but provides emotional support as well.
Over the past 3 years, she has provided nurturing comfort to many clients at La Costa Cosmetic Retreat. Because of the excellent service, some of the doctors she works with have introduced her to other physicians. She also receives many referrals from friends of former clients who have loved the personalized service they received at La Costa Retreat.
